Terms of service

AskRevu is operated by a sole proprietorship based in India, trading as AskRevu (“AskRevu”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@askrevu.in.

AskRevu gives your shop a printed QR card. When a customer scans it, they see a suggested review of their visit, which they may change however they like, copy, and post on Google themselves from their own Google account.

We do not post reviews, we do not see the reviews customers post, and we cannot remove, hide, delay or reorder any review. Reviews and ratings are Google's, under Google's policies. We do not promise any number of reviews or any rating.

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
• You may open an account only for a business you own or are authorised to act for. One subscription covers one shop.
• Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done through it.

You agree to use AskRevu honestly and within the law. In particular, you will not:

• Show the card, or pass on the review link, only to customers you expect to be happy — every customer must be able to review you. This is “review gating”, which Google's policies prohibit.
• Offer customers money, discounts, gifts or anything else in return for a review, or pressure anyone to leave one.
• Write reviews of your own business, or have staff, family or anyone else post reviews who was not a genuine customer.
• Use AskRevu for any business other than your own, or to publish anything false, misleading or unlawful, including anything that amounts to an unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
• Interfere with the service, try to reach other shops' data, copy the service by automated means, or use it to harm anyone.

You are responsible for following Google's policies for your business profile and reviews. If Google acts against your listing or removes reviews because of how you used AskRevu, that is between you and Google.

• Your first 14 days are free. The trial starts when you create your account, and we do not ask for a card to start it.
• After the trial, AskRevu costs ₹499 a month if you choose to subscribe. Prices are in Indian Rupees, and the amount shown is the total you are charged.
• Payments are taken by Razorpay, our payment partner. When you subscribe you set up a recurring payment (a card or UPI mandate), which renews every month until you cancel, in line with the Reserve Bank of India's rules on recurring payments. Your bank may ask you to approve it.
• If a payment fails, everything keeps working for 7 days while you update your payment method. After that the review drafts and scan counts stop, but your printed cards still open your Google review page, so they never become a dead end.
• If we ever change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and it will never change in the middle of a period you have paid for.

You can cancel at any time from the Billing screen, in one click. The subscription ends at the end of the month you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. Payments are not refunded for part of a month or for unused time, except where a charge was made in error. The details are in our cancellation and refund policy.

How we collect and use personal data is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. You can delete your shop, and everything we hold about it, from Settings at any time.

The AskRevu software, design, name and draft templates belong to us. While your account is active, you may use the service and print the cards and artwork it makes for your shop, as many times as you like. Your shop's name and details remain yours. A review belongs to the customer who wrote and posted it.

We work to keep AskRevu available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, and it depends on services we do not control, including Google. We may improve or change features; if a change materially reduces what you pay for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost business or profit, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including your rights as a consumer.

You agree to compensate us for losses we suffer because you used AskRevu in breach of these terms or the law, for example by gating or buying reviews.

You may stop using AskRevu at any time and delete your shop from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why and giving you a chance to fix it unless the breach is serious or the law requires us to act at once.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account holders at least 15 days before the change takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. If you do not agree, you may cancel before then.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please write to us first — most problems are solved by email.

Our Grievance Officer is reachable at support@askrevu.in. We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month, as the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 require.

Any dispute we cannot resolve together is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
